I will always love you. We will miss the beautiful presence and voice that graced the world, if only for a short time. May people respect your memory not only as one of the most talented vocal artists of our time but also as someone’s mother and someone’s daughter and the love that you shared with the world. This is such a tragedy and you will be sorely missed. May you now be able to rest in peace.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Ms. Houston’s family, friends, and her millions of fans around the world.
I know that we are a week late with all of this…but with Valentine’s Day coming up and to distract ourselves from the fact that football is officially over until August :( we are going to be featuring LEGO that deals with love, romance, and your significant other. This could be various things we done for weddings or anniversaries, or just a special gift done for the LEGO love in your life. :) We’ll do the first photo today and keep checking in daily for more photos. Enjoy!
“What does a man live for but to have a girl, use his mind, practice his trade, drink a drink, read a book, and watch the martins wing it for the Amazon and the three-fingered sassafras turn red in October? Art Immelmann is right. Man is not made for suffering, night sweats, and morning terrors.”—Walker Percy (Love in the Ruins)
“The search is what anyone would undertake if he were not sunk in the everydayness of his own life. To be aware of the possibility of the search is to be onto something. Not to be onto something is to be in despair. ”—Walker Percy
“Sally Brown: [reading off a candy heart] “How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. I love thee to the depth and breadth and height my soul can reach, when feeling out of sight for the ends of being and ideal grace.”
[Snoopy arrives and begins to mime the poem behind her]
Sally Brown: “I love thee to the level of every day’s most quiet needs by sun and candlelight. I love thee freely as men strive for right; I love thee purely as they turn from praise; I love thee passion put to use in my old griefs and my childhood’s faith. I love thee with the love I seemed to lose with my lost faith. I love thee with the breath, smiles, tears of all my life! - And, if God choose, I shall love thee better after death.”
[Snoopy takes a bow, and kisses her hand]”—From the Television Special “Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown”
